On a thread I saw someone was asking about 28' Oday and of course got a lot of good response. He also mentioned he was not sure about the fact that the inboard had been replaced with an outboard. Our boat is the same. Positive is that there is a lot of storage space where the inboard used to be, especially if a proper sole is built. We carry an extra 10 gal. of water and 10 gallons of gas plus an extra anchorage set and we built a sliding cabinet which when the stairs are removed gives us easy access to all of our pots, pans, etc. We recently put on a new 9.8 Tohatsu with a hydraulic lift, with the extra long shaft there is very little cavitation between the keel, rudder and motor, runs extra quiet and give us good solid push. The other big positive is that we take the motor off in the winter, take it in for servicing and storage. Also I have two "tidy tanks" for the gas, easy to take ashore and refill at a gas station, don't have to pay the outrageous prices for gas in the harbour.
