Merry Christmas to all!
In regards to the poll. I guess I'm #1 as Lyric apparently has the
distinction of being the only Vega to have had blisters. There are 2 kinds
of blisters, gelcoat and laminate, Lyric's were laminate and only just below
the water line and on the side of the boat that recieved most of the sun. Go
figure this one out experts. I don't have a clue as to why. Good news is
there were only a few, they were an easy fix and have not come back.
Propane doesn't backdraft. Goes out immediatly when you turn it off. Is a
hotter fuel. Boils faster than others. Isn't as smelly when cooking.
Fiberglas burns!
I liked my Navik and it is for sale. $1995.00 brand new. I want $1000.00 for
mine and you pay shipping from San Diego. It needs a $20.00 part. More info
from the U.S. importer, (Scanmar) at www.selfsteer.com .
I lke the Yanmar but it is a bit overpowered and fuel consumption is more
than I expected. Would probably have gone with the Beta if I'd known about
it.
