Re-installing my Pacific Light to my Albin Vega

Hello
I'm back for more help. Liza is back in the sea and looking amazing and everything is working great but now I'm trying to set up the Pacific Light Wind Pilot that I had remounted exactly the same as it was before the refit. I went on you tube and google and found lots of information and lovely videos but none show how to run the lines to the tiller. Also how do I keep the tiller from falling lower than the chain if the lines are at seat level. I hope this question doesn't sound stupid but no one here in Barbados has a wind pilot. They all have auto pilots. The wind pilot was working great when I bought the boat but I need a play by play of how to set it up if anyone else has one on their Vega. Thank you.
You don't know how much you have all helped me so far.

Regards

Hi Sheila,Go to the photos section on the Pacific Windpilot site and look at the Vega photos for ideas of running your lines.http://windpilot.com/n/wind/en/foto/lite/AlbinVegaOn the tiller height": Isn't there a set screw under the tiller at the rudder head that acts as a "stop" and can be adjusted for height? I don't have a Vega anymore to check, but that's what my Albin Ballad has. If there isn't one, you could insert a small wedge underneath to hold it up. Also, you can tighten the bolt that runs through the tiller at the rudder head so the tiller stays up.Hope this helps.Petermostlyaboutboats.ca

Perfect! Just exactly what I was looking for. I'll check my tiller. I think there's a couple of extra holes in the tiller head. Maybe that's. What they were for. I knew I could count on great information from this group. Thanks very much. I'll let you know how it goes. SheilaSent from the iPad of Sheila King

I just had my tiller off to clean it up, oil it and touch up the brass. It had a wedge made of thin folded brass sheet. There was no set screw on mine (hull 1011)Sent from my iPad

i got the Pacific Light as well - can send pictures if its still needed. She has been working very well in the last 15000 or so miles, if i would install it again i might put the blocks on the pushpit a little bit lower and the block in the cockpit not on the seats but a bit higher onto the backrests. I think that would give it a better angle to transfer the forces to the tiller. I cant move my tiller very well at all - so it think the way of fixing the tiller is a bit of grease and saltwater or lanolin or something :)
