My 100 head sail on my H28.5 is shot. I have a 150 with sun guard that was rarely used (like new). I've owned the boat two years on lake Erie and would find few days that a 150 wouldn't be over powering. The newer sail would help that some. What do you think of having it cut down to 100 - 130? I'll use it on a furling system. I'm currently not racing the boat, I do that on a T-Ten. What Ya Think ? Thanks in Advance

re-cut genoa

Stock jib was 110 on the 28.5. 1st thing I did when I bought mine was cut the old 110 down to 90 for use in extreme conditions. Could furl it way down to storm jib size. Then I had a new genoa cut to 130. Wish I had gone to 135. I think you'd be very happy with any thing in that range.

So do we

sail on Erie out of Cawtawba Island. I would check the cost to recut to a 130 and than see what a new one would cost. If it cost more than half of the new sail I would go with the new sail. Even if it is recut it is still a older sail that is stretched out.
