Justin, How did you fit them?
Justin, sounds like something I would do -- a creative and cheap alternative. The shower-curtain fabric is made to withstand moisture, too. Just wondering -- how did you 'fit' and secure them over the setees? Was a sewing machine involved in this project? The upholstery on the boat we are buying is in fairly good condition, but I'd like to make a cover of sorts for the berths -- like a fitted sheet but without the cost of having custom sheets made. Also, any suggestions on the best way to give the existing upholstery a general good cleaning? I have a home-use carpet/upholstery shampooer but worry about getting the cushions too wet, unless we can them home and let them thoroughly dry. I've always liked a foam upholstery cleaner that you spray on then vacuum -- Blue Coral Dry Cleaning Fluid (usually buy in the automotive section) -- would that be a better choice? Thanks! (We close on the boat this Wednesday!)
