John: I am unaware of a Cal 'tall rig' designation. I think that the 29's were all set up pretty much the same. I have a copy of the set of original drawings for the Cal 29 from Mr. Lapworth (he even signed them)and there is no mention of a 'tall rig' version. If you were rerigged with a different mast then you would have to be rated by your local race committee. you may also try the Sailnet Cal email list. We are a verrrrry active group and there are a couple of riggers on the list and many racers that may help answer questions. You may contact me off list also if you want at ldh9@msn.com.
