Hi all,

I'm trying to find either a local dealer or one on-line to rebuild my Universal M25XP Injectors. I'm trying to avoid the $350+ cost of new ones an am willing to chance a re-built.

I cannot do it myself.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Ralph

Every town over 20000 population nowadays has an "injector shop" as virtually all vehicles have injected fuel systems.
Go to your local auto wholesale supply shop that caters to 'auto mechanics' and ask them for the location of the nearest 'injector shop'; and then, take your injectors directly and in person to such a place.

Injectors are usually quite easy to service, reset, recalibrate and rebuild.

Rpell, I believe that engine is a Kubota D-950 block that has been "marinized" You can get injectors from a Kubota tractor dealer or over the internet for better prices. Stu's Catalina 34 web site has some reference to the parts..

I got new injectors for my M25 (D-850) for $65.73 plus $10 core deposit, plus nominal shipping. Cheaper, faster, and better than rebuilt. Find the Denso part number on your injectors and contact them. Don't forget to order new copper crush washers!

Scroll down to "Also of Interest" at the bottom for engine manuals and a link to the Westerbeke online resource for part #s.

There have been many discussions of replacing vs. repairing injectors. Since there are so many injector repair places now that most car engines have them, it's still back to basics:

Your boat, your choice. :dance::dance::dance:

If it was my boat, I'd simply buy new and keep the old ones as spares, not that you're ever gonna need 'em. Your choice of repairing the spares or not before you store them somewhere. :D

Good luck, either way you go.

If you buy new it's possible you will get a core deposit refund for your old injectors (as I did). If you are replacing them, it's unlikely they would be suitable as spares. If you are buying new because it's cheaper, faster, and better than rebuilding, it's hardly logical to rebuild the old ones as spares after you install the new ones, no?
