Re-bedding hardware after applying non-skid paint on deck

Hi All. I am going to be finishing painting the deck of my catalina 22 in the next week or so. I will then of course need to rebed the hardware. I am using butyle tape. Is it okay to rebed hardware over non-skid paint (pettit product line). My real question is would the non-skid cause issues with waterproof sealing of deck hardware?

Shouldn't be a problem if the tape is thicker than the nonskid is deep. If the nonskid is really aggressive, i.e., deep, then doubling would be a good idea. If it just a sand finish one layer should be fine.

Countersink the the bolt holes and wrap butyl tape around the bolt so the hole gets filled. MarineHowTo.com has an article on this.
