Catalina 30 Sandusky
Forgive me if this has been discussed already but...
I have removed, stained and clear coated the exterior teak on my '86 Catalina 30. I'm quite pleased with the results and now am wondering what to use to re-bed these pieces back on the boat. There was a sealer used of some sort. I have butyl tape, but wonder if I should use some type of sealer and/or adhesive as well as, or in place of. Also, the PO used some sort of paint or ? to cover these pieces. What can I use to take off the substance the was inadvertently brushed on the gel-coat. Acetone? Can someone with experience offer some advice?
Thanks in advance.

Hit send too soon. Butyl tape works well and you don't need anything else just the tape
