Hi Group. While everyone is on the subject of masts I thought it might be
advisable to point out that older masts had a riveted mast track for the
mainsail and the sliding goose neck. Newer masts don't have the sliding
gooseneck and have an extruded track. It might be a good plan for folks with
riveted track to inspect the rivets. We had to replace them on Lyric's
gooseneck track as many of them had corroded through. Walt S/V Lyric #120
