Hi, Paul,
Where near Bangor is your home port? We have a summer place outside
Milbridge where we keep our Vega on our mooring up in Pleasant
Bay--might be fun to cross paths some time. (I remember seeing a Vega on
the hard at Northeast Harbor years ago, but I thought it had a Mass.
registration.) Ever come sailing down our way? We sometimes go west over
to Mt. Desert area or farther into Penobscott Bay or down the coast, but
more routinely we go farther east where it's just us and the seals (and
lobster boats)--an easy day's sail to Roque Island, for example.

And Mort, what part of Nova Scotia? We're headed over to Digby June 26
for the race to Bass Harbor this year, if all goes well. Been planning
Nova Scotia for years but just haven't made it--Grand Manan has been
fun, but somehow then we always turn north and west up Fundy, into
Passamaquoddy Bay, etc.

I have a house on Big Tancook Island, which is at the entrance to Mahone
Bay. The bay is on the south shore, about 40 miles from Halifax, somewhat
less than that to Lunenburg, and six miles by water to Chester. Digby is on
the north shore, the opposite side. You should try Chester Race Week
sometime, but it is a long trip from where you are.
