My hull number on Vega (Erendira) is 2947. It is on the plate, which is
off-centered below the companionway, and embossed on the upper right-hand
corner of the transom. The number on the transom is the first part of a much
longer manufacturer's number.
I also had my new sail match the insignia and hull number, as well.
While I'm at it, I just finished a weekend mini-cruise to San Francisco and
Angel Island. Beautiful sailing all the way. I need to take a couple of
weeks off, and just cruise the Bay, go exploring.
