As Brian just pointed out, our Yahoo Groups email list file space for
photos is full. About 6 months ago I put out a message asking people who
have posted photos in the past to review what they have posted and
remove some, since I (as list moderator) didn't want to have to make
editorial decisions about the value of one photo over another. Well, it
looks like we still have a problem. A few people have posted a large
number of photos, many have posted only a few related to specific
improvement projects, and so on. I'd like to ask again that people who
posted several photos not related to specific improvement/maintenance
issues consider deleting some. In a few days I will check the site and,
if we're still full, will make some judgment calls and remove some older
photos that do not have direct practical value for Vega owners. I think
it is important that we conserve space as much as possible so that
informative (and interesting) new photos can still be added. As a
footnote, for those who may be unfamiliar with different graphic formats
and resolutions, when you post a photo to our site, please first lower
the resolution of the image to 72 dpi. A computer screen cannot show any
higher resolution than this (or so I've been told), and the file size
for such a photo may be a tenth or a hundredth of the size for the same
photo in a higher resolution.
Thank you.
