I built an A frame with 20 foot long straight grained 2 x 4 fir. These
attach to the forward chainplates and are guyed fore and aft. Using the boom
vang (kicking strap) as a block and tackle, I can pick the mast up at the
spreaders and then pivot the butt end forward to lay on deck. Really easy to do.
I'd post pictures but I understand the files and photos sections are full.
