We are trying to replace the VHF radio cable in the
mast. The cable seems to be attached inside the mast.
Does anyone know how to get the old cable out?

Hi Judy

I had the same problem and it turned out that someone had pured a tin of glue
down the mast! I ended up pulling until the cable snapped, then used a
fishiong
line and weight to drop a line as a mouse then pulled a new cable through. If
the mast is off the boat you have to incline the mast as much as possible but
it can be done.

Kind Regards

Hi Judy;

hoist some one up the mast, have him or her cut or disconnect the old wire,
then attach a (small) pull wire and pull everything down. If the old
wire can't
be pulled, do as Steve Birch writes

PS: Steve, my boat is back in the water and I'm not going on my trip to
Asia,
hence when ever you come, please let me know..
