Narrowed it down to a Catalina 22 for our first sailboat. Was wondering if any Cat22 owners out there might have as far as what to look for on older models (late 70's/80's). I have seen some material on inspecting boats etc. however I figured actual owners might have some common areas that are famous for faulting on this particular boat after time. Thx in advance.

The answer you received in your earlier post pretty much covered it -- there's not too much on a C22 that can go wrong other than the deck leaks mentioned in the prior response to your earlier post.

Much depends on the condition of the boat. Rarely will a guy with a rotten looking car have a pristine boat, so meet the seller in the parking lot.
We bought our C22 from a couple who had the boat, on the trailer, in their back yard. Lovely house, lovely boat. Every boat we've bought has been pristine.
