I found a service center in Vancouver BC. I sent the head into them for an estimate. Given that the boat is on the hard I didn't need fast service. They were able to repair my depth readout.
A little bit of history. I had left the batteries on and the instruments as well when I left the boat for a week. When I returned I found the batteries were dead and the depth sounder not working.
The service tech said that because the instruments had been left on as the batteries were being drained by various loads. That is what probably caused the depth sounder to burn out. Anyway it's repaired and waiting to be installed.
Lesson to be learned... never be in a hurry to close up the boat!!
