My temporary solution is permanent
For my h40.5, I made a mount that was originally a temporary solution. At the time (4 years ago) Edson didn't make a fiberglas custom housing for the Raytheon RL-series display heads, and the only one available was a large aluminum housing. It was large and very expensive IMO. $300-400 before I was done with all the fittings and stuff. So I made a bracket that clamps to my pedistal guard. The bracket has a rubber insert that grips the tubing and if loosened will slide up and down and rotate to any position that I like.I found this feature to be valuable over a fixed mount. I can adjust the angle of the screen to eliminate glare from the sun, and I do this many times in a day.The mount was made from sheets of 1/4" plexiglas sandwiched together. Total cost was about $6-7 plus misc stuff I had in my shop. I sprayed the mount with flat black paint and used the standard U-bracket that was supplied with the display. This was meant to be temporary until I could find a more 'suitable' solution. I like it so much, I've stopped looking.See the attached photo.Rich
