Raymarine ST60 Wind

Last weekend it was working fine, this weekend my ST60 wind didn't work. You really get used to having the wind direction & speed info right there in front of you, it's different sailing without it.
The indicator points straight up & doesn't move, I've powered it down and back on several times. The wind speed reads -- , pressing the display key changes it to 00 or F-.
I'm going to test the transducer next time I'm there. Has anybody seen this and know what the problem might be or have a suggestion?
Thanks for any help anyone can offer

Last time I had this particular problem I discovered moisture (water really) in the control head, a screw had been over tightened on assembly and cracked the case. I just disassembled and dried it out, reassembled and it worked again.
First check your mast top transducer to see that it's pointing at the wind and the cups are spinning.

I had an issue and had to recalibrate it to get it to work....just involves going into calibrate mode and turning slow circles until it works....

Funny thing, my ST60+ wind transducer started doing what you described last week. I haven't done anything yet to trouble shoot it.

Yes, I forgot to mention, the cups are spinning and the vane is following the wind direction. I have the procedure from Raymarine to check the 8 volts out and the different levels in on the different wires, I'll try that next time I'm at the boat. I also tried to get to cal mode by pressing display and true/app at the same time, nothing happens.
I was hoping someone knew of a secret Raymarine button pressing combination not in any manual, to bring it back out of some obscure test mode it might be stuck in.

Since I took mine apart it was totally "depowered", when I powered it back up it read "calibrating" for a bit then started normal operation. Since it seems to read pretty much accurate I've left it.
When in doubt, reboot.

I would definitely take it though the "Dealer Calibration" process before taking anything apart. I've had this problem off and on for 7 years.

ST60+ wind working again! And I did not have to go up the mast.
Last night I tried to find a junction box of some kind between the display & the mast transducer, to check connections, I had already checked the back of the display.
I found a taped up wad of butt splices in the cabin ceiling below the mast. As soon as I pulled the tape off, the display started working again!
This install was done by a "professional" marine electronics tech right before I bought the boat. I will try to find a proper junction box or terminal strip and get it set up right.
Thanks for the suggestions and help.
