st50

I got rid of the boat speed and wind transducers. I believe you can use a new ST 60 transducer though and it can be spliced in. Check with Raymarine to be sure.

I still have ST50 displays remaining - wind, depth, and GPS.
Pat,

Its me again! I keep getting a message to change my username??? Anyway, please contact me at charlie1@rogers.com if you still have the st50 wind display

thank you

Need Calibration Help

I am a bit confused as to you saying that you can not use the ST60 transducer with the ST-50 head. I have done this many times in the past. It works well and you can calibrate the unit from the ST-50. I have the books for the ST-50 if you need them. I can email them to you...Also keep in mind that you may be able to use a NMEA 2000 or 0183 transducer and a converter to get your wind speed and direction. You do not nessisarally need a Raymarine transducer...PM me if you need more information. I would be happy to help you. I work part time for a Raymarine Dealer...
I have a st-50 that stopped working (displays dash dash). I just got a R28170 Masthead Transducer and need info on to calibrate my st-50. Thanks in advance for any help.

Raymarine has them

I had the same problem a few years ago. Call Raymarine. They wanted to 'repair' my unit meaning I had to send it to them and they would put in a simple part and return it to me.

After some pleading they agreed to just send me the unit that the paddle wheel attaches to and it is an easy install once you have it at deck level.

Good luck. Now I have to deal with the ST50 speed impeller. The replacement is of course an ST60 but the impeller is a different size requiring a haul out to replace the through hull. What a pain in the butt. I'm still trying to see if they can replace or repair the impeller.

Re: I have ST50 spare parts..

Pat T
Do you still have spare parts for ST50- What do you have?

I'm looking for: "Wind Speed, Boat Speed, Debth, Log"read out and the mast head sending unit. My windspeed impeller doesn't turn freely. My (windspeed, boatspeed, debth, log) readout is half black.

ST 50 spare parts

All I have left is the ST50 Depth display. If you are interested in that please send me a private message.

Not sure of your problem JDS. If you have wind speed, boat speed and depth read-outs that all have gone bad at the same time I would be looking for a short of some kind. It's unlikely that all gages would have failed at the same time, in my opinion.

ST50 Wind Transducer

Thanks.
......
I do have an old ST50 masthead transducer that took a lightning strike 15 years ago, along with the wind display. They were both replaced by a comletely by the insurance claim (less deductable of course). That newer transducer quit reporting wind direction correctly (flipping 180% occassionally), then the windvane broke off (sea gull?). I wonder if older transducer can be repaired, or any parts from the broken one salvaged to fix it?
Hi Ron,

I know this is an old posting, I was wondering if you still had that old ST50 Transducer? I could do with one As I lost mine over the side and I can't get hold of another one.

Please reply either way to me at Ralphie.dalton@gmail.com.
