Raymarine instruments

We have an ST 50 auto helm with tri data instrumentation (speed and depth) on our new to us 1993 H33.5

The auto helm works. The instruments doesn't. They power up but everything just shows zeros.

Is there a way to determine if the issue is in the display unit itself or in the transducers?

The boat is currently on the hard.

I had the same problem with my RayMarine autohelm on a 2000 Hunter. Mine just would quit working but we knew the actual autohelm was fine, the display quit. We had to buy a new one, which also involved buying new cableing and a new brain that would act as a link between the new display software and the current older actual unit. The guys at West Marine were able to explain it and drew me a diagram on a piece of paper, told me how to buy most of the cabling and the brain online because West Marine didn't have it all right then. I think this is a solveable problem and how my auto helm is working like a champ under sail or power, knock on wood-
