I am trying to determing the correct method of changing the fuel filter in a Raycor 110 filter. I have a 1990 H30 with the Yanmar diesel engine and a Raycor 110 filter. The metal bowl has two hex nuts on it, one off center a 5/8" hex, the other a 9/16" hex in the center of the bowl. Ive removed both and the metal bowl will not come off. Ive tried twisting and pulling to no avail. What is the correct method of removing this *?# bowl? Thanks Jim

unscrew the bolt on top of the filter

It took me a bit of time and some @#$%^%$$# comments to get to it , but the filter can be taken apart when you unscrew the big black nut on the top of the filter. Because of the position of the Racor filter just above the floor, and lack of working space to do any maintanance, i moved the filters to the engine compartment on the port wall. Now you can access all the draining ports when you remove the inspection hatch in the head compartment. I will try to make some pictures and post them here next week. Good luck
