Upon recommnedation of a surveyor I am installing a raw water strainer on a Catalina 27 with a Universal 18. What size and make strainer will fit and where?

Do it this way.........
Go to West marine and buy a Sherwood raw water strainer and put it in line between your seawter intake (seacock) and the raw water pump (located on the front of the M-18 on the left. Cost is approx. $25 for strainer + get 4 SS hose clamps (double-clamp on both strainer end barbs).
