I have 3 headsails for my 1980 Catalina 30, an 85, a 110 and a 150. As is the case with most cruisers, I have a bow pulpit and there is considerable interference from the pulpit on the lower portion of the headsail. Especially for the two smaller headsails, the length of the luff is such that I could raise the entire sail farther up the forestay. Would this significantly affect the performance of the sail either positively or negatively?
