Rasied backsplash with ceramic tile

I raised the backsplash then used ceramic tile on the backsplash in my Catalina 30 MKIII

Looks good, but the only thing I would worry about is if you ever have to remove the galley to do serious engine work that tile might crack.

I can remove the backsplash easily by removing the screws on the backside of the backsplash. I thought of that when I built it with ease of removal in mind. The base is not fixed to the counter top. It is just resting on some silicon seal.

Nice backsplash and I love your cushions! Did you do them yourself?

I did the backsplash myself. The ultra leather cushions came with the boat.
