Has anyone used it? How well does it work? I would really like to be able to get an idea of how full my holding and water tanks are. I also really don't want to cut holes in them to install a float system. This Raritan idea sounds good, but how well does it really work? -Smitty

Goto New Providence Marine Tank Monitors

and look at their equipment. Not only is it good equipment that works, they will help you over the phone when you have installation questions. These are the people from the old Snake River company that formed a new company. Dennis is a great guy who stands behind their product. Their product has been greatly improved from the early Snake River System. They use the foil on the outside of the tank. No holes.

Jim gave you good advice...

The Profile systems from New Providence are the best out there. Check 'em out here: http://ferriellosales.com/default.php The Raritan system is one of the few Raritan products I don't think much of...it's a knockoff of a Snake River System that became obsolete even before SR folded.

Sensitank

is my favorite. Similar in principle to the strip type sensors except with the sensitank you just stick three square pads about 3" square on the side of the tank. As the contents inside reach that pad the monitor registers it. If your tank is anything other than a rectangle this is very helpful as you can place the pads on the side based on content volume. http://www.marinesan.com/tanklevel.htm
