I'm in the market as were . Colonial Beach
removehtml]Has anyone installed a Raritan PHII in a Catalina 30 or similar boat? I know that I am going to have to re-do the holes where it mounts into the floor and plug the old ones. Should I use Epoxy or can I just use calk? The base is covered by a plastic piece so it won't be visible. How hard is the installation? I found my PHII in defender and it was on sale for $275. Good priceError: Error: expected [/URL], but found [/removehtml] instead[/removehtml]

I'd use epoxy

Caulk isn't permanent...you don't want water that can get under the shroud to deteriorate it and penetrate/rot your head sole.

Listen to Peggy

On every boat where I removed the head, I always found moisture in those holes. Measure how deep they are, drill them oversized and ensure there is no moist material in there and then fill with thickened epoxy.

I agree epoxy here too but

you don't have to drill the holes first, I think? I would use blue tape to mask off the holes. Fill them with thicken epoxy. Let them set up for 10 minites then smooth the epoxy out. Let the epoxy harden and take off the tape. Shoul look good when your done. Much better that caulk.

Flattery

Yes, I agree that Peggy looks hot but aren't you concerned that all of this flattery will just go to her head. :) Sorry, couldn't resist.
