Raritan PH II - Liquid still in base after pumping dry

Hi all,

Is it normal to have liquid remaining in the base of the PH II after it has been pumped on dry for several strokes? I rebuilt the pump and did a test run with water this weekend, I measured about 1" of water that sits in the base even after no more water would come out of the discharge flange while pumping on dry. Thanks in advance for any help on this.

One inch of water or even a little more isn't unusual...how much depends on how much (if any) your toilet discharge line rises 'cuz water DOES run downhill, ya know. and even a brand new joker valve won't block slow seepage...in fact, isn't supposed to. So unless the 1" turns into several, I wouldn't worry about it.
