A Ranger Rendezvous is scheduled for August 9-12 in the San Juan Islands. All Rangers (California and Kent) are invited to attend. If you can't make it for the whole Rendezvous, feel free to join in on any day. August 9th: meet at Fisherman Bay late after noon. Possible potluck and time for everyone to meet and chat. August 10th: race or cruise to Reid Harbor(Stuart Island).Shore side activities open at this point, possibly a potluck, hiking, dinghy race for the kids, Ranger round table discussion. August 11th: race or cruise to Echo Bay(Sucia Island).Shore side activities would include a barbecue at one of the group areas(to be reserved),hiking or beach combing, a final Ranger round table discussion for future events and rendezvous, an award ceremony for those that wish to race. August 12th: a race or cruise back to Friday Harbor for those wishing to extend the rendezvous, Le Mans start for the race(all boats anchored).Reservations would be made at Friday Harbor for moorage. Showers, shopping and a restaurant dinner before we head home.
