Give your local boat store a try
You have to pull out your old or broken cables and bring them to your local boat store for replacing. Morse and Teleflex were the two most prominent companies that made shift and throttle cables and then Teleflex bought out Morse, so that is what you look for. Most likely your throttle cable is 3300 series or 33 series with a 10-32 threaded end. They should be readily available and are used for both power boats and sailboats. The transmission cable might be larger, but if you bring in your old cable they will easily identify the size and provide you with the ones you need. For sure you need to know the correct length. The inner cable that moves back and forth attach at each end with forks or maybe a ball swivel hardware and the out cables are secured with a clamp on each end (to stablilize the cover) and it usually takes one or two screws for each clamp. If you have pedestal wheel steering and the throttle and shift levers are at the helm, depending on the model and mfgr, you either have a double clamp on the pedestal end down inside the pedestal that holds the outer jackets in place (both cables), or an arm that extends from the shift lever housing on top of the pedestal. If have the first description you can see a single screw (1/4", I think) on the backside of the pedestal that holds that clamp in place on the tube. You have to remove the binacle compass to reveal the forks that attach with clevis pins to the arms that are attached to the handles that make the inner cable go up or down. You then pull up the two cable ends, after you unscrew that one screw I mentioned, and then you can take the clamp off of the two cables. If you have the other description, then under the compass, you might have to unscrew the 4 bolts that hold the shift/throttle cable housing in place and pull that up (you might have to do that in either case - I forget exactly - no big deal) so that you can reach the end of the arm that extends down into the pedestal (maybe a 6" arm) that holds the outer jacket of the cable so the inner cable can move back and forth. Take it apart and you will see what I mean. There will be a set screw that you have to loosen up to free uo the cable. Of course, you have two cables, so you need to do this twice with each arm, if that is the method used on your pedestal. If you have remote controls mounted elsewhere, then you can see the backside and how they are attached and that will be easy to figure out.I hope this helps.
