What kind of "floating camera" you have?
I tried to use my Drift Ghost (like a GoPro, only better IMHO) on a hobbled together float. The swinging stabilizer couldn't handle the waves for good video. The camera can be controlled by a remote or phone app. I just set it to record and launched it and captured some stills from the video. I tried version 2.0 last week, but just soaked my camera, luckily it's waterproof. There's a photo of the float in the second video. Working on "floating camera platform 3.0" right now.

Well maybe a small loop of it between the two middle stanchions! It was our starboard symmetrical spin sheet. We set them up for quick deployment before we head out. But with the asym up, they are not used.

Don't think it was effecting our speed there... We were truckin.
