I recently bought my first sailboat - a Hunter 22. I was wondering if anyone has some techniques for easily raising the mast? Other tips would be greatly appreciated as well!

But here are some keywords to search for. "gin pole" "a frame" "baby stays" "mast crutch" Another favorite that I havent seen much of is to put a roller on top of the mast crutch. it makes getting the first pin in much much easier.

Like Brian says this has been quite well covered.There are many ways to do it. After searching through the archives a visit to trailersailor.com will give you even more ideas.We have a 25 Oday that one person is able to safely raise and lower the mast even on the water. It's all about technique not muscle!
