raising the mast

I recently moved up to a Cat 30. Bought it on the hard with the mast down. Will be using a professional to re-rig...............but I would like to know for my own edification if the mast should be straight or raked at all.also, are the spreaders supposed to be level with the horizon or angled up or down and if so, how much?thanks for your helpJoe

Rake, I don't know if C-30's are regularly raked, but it will also depend on your sails.The spreaders should be set so that they exactly bisect the angle of the upper shroud passing over its end. See link below
