Raising / lowering mast

Any ideas on the safest way to raise and lower the mast ? Tks

Do you have a pop top cabin? It's rather simple if you don't have a stepped keel like the pop tops do?

Not a pop top

No it's not a pop top. I bought the boat with the mast down and so am trying to put it all together. Also trying to find some drawings of the correct standing rigging set up. Tks

RAISING MAST

My mast just sits on top of the cabin on a bracket. It is not easy to take up and down. To raise it all we had to do was connect the middle shrouds on each side. and the back stay. One man to pull the front stay and two guys to lift the mast in position. Not very heavy but awkward. You must connect the shrouds and stays. It get very awkward when straigth up. clif

Many thanks Clif. I thought that there may be some clever way of anchoring the mast base or inserting a pin around which the mast would swivel (like a Hobie Cat) when raising and lowering, but it looks like the blood, sweat and tears option. Tks
