Does anyone know how to get to the stanchion bolts on the inside of a 1995 29.5 Hunter? We have two leaks that are dripping down from the top of the fabric at the cabin roof line. One is in the v-berth port side near where the water fill is outside and the other is on starboard 6-8" aft of the v-berth compartment. How do you find the place of origin? The previous owner thought it was the mast plate but we couldn't get the screws off, so do I just caulk the heck around it? Thanks for any advice. Kirk

Anchor locker latch?

May not be your stated area but for me (H28.5) it was the receptacle for the latch bolt on the forward anchor locker. I got some silicone and injected the latch socket with SOME silicone, then stretched some cellophane over the bolt and shoved it into the receptacle. After it dried I retracted the bolt and cut the excess cellophane off. No more leak! Jim McCue

Leaks happen

Even if you could fix the stanchion leaks, others will develop. I removed the teak strip and cup holder on each side and use a small roller to squeeze out the water from the liner. There's a lot of water in there every time, which suggests dew is getting into the liner. That doesn't happen from the stancions.
