rail tubing options ?

local boat shops are selling the 7/8 rail tubing in my area for $8 per foot, anyone got a more economical way to go?

Look for a local metal superstore in your area , I just bought 8ft of 1 in today for 32 dollars

Defender has some nice prices- as low as 4 a foot. When comparing, remember there are two wall thicknesses available.

Go dumpster diving in your local boatyard if they will allow it. I just picked up some straight pieces of tubing and several fittings that were part of a scrapped rail from a damaged boat.

I ordered a couple 8', thick walled, 7/8" tubes from Defender recently. $37 each, but shipping was a killer. I think I had $32 in ground shipping for the order, which included several stainless fittings and an electrical panel breaker.
