Radome Scanner selection

I'm wanting to add radar to my Raymarine E series display and I'm trying to decide between analog, digital or HD. I'd like to get comments from people that have experience with these units. Also, I'd like to hear if anyone has connected a scanner from another manufacturer to their Raymarine multifunction display and how did that work out?

Ernie, Other manufacturers scanners will not work with a Raymarine displays. In addition you don't say what E series you have and whether it is classic or the new widescreen. But if you want the Raymarine display you are stuck with only the radar compatible with that display. I suppose you also need to ask yourself if you need to spend $3,000.00 for a scanner and new technology from a company that may or may not be around very long. Chuck

Love it

My new to me boat came with an E 90 plotter integrated with a digital radar unit. It works great. Lots of options on how to configure the display as an overlay or side by side with the plotter.
