Radio location

CP-22 Mark I. I just took delivery of the boat, and am still working on getting it fitted out to my tastes.

I sail on a large enough body of water that I do not want to rely on a hand-held VHF. I also have an marine-grade AM/FM/CD player that I am contemplating installing. I am curious what others have done with regards to placement/mounting of the radio(s) in your boats. The CP-22 is a much smaller boat that I am used to, and obviously space is at a premium. If you can post or email me photos, that would be really appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I mounted my VHF radio just inside the cabin bolted on the port ceiling. It faces the open space so I can hear the radio. It is easy to access yet out of the way. I can reach it when sailing by myself.
