Anybody have experience with backstay radar levelers? I will be installing a Garmin 18HD this offseason, and have been looking at the Questus system as the maybe the best fit among others on the market. Thanks all.

Pro's and cons.
I had a different brand on my C-350 that was made in Bellingham, WA, and it worked fine. I heard that model was no longer being manufactured. I think it makes for a clean install, with no mast climbing. Wiring should be easier than a mast mount too.

That was a helpful discussion in Sailnet, thanks. A leveler is still made in Bellingham-radaronthelevel. Its the only one out there with a friction damping system and the only one made especially for a split stay. A nice clean look but I'm concerned about the weight hanging solely on the stay. Perhaps I should see if Catalina has any thoughts on that. The others use poles attached to the stay and transfer much of the weight to the deck.
