Radar Wire Splice

OK I installed my JRC 1500. I had an issue with the Scanner wire. With the connecter at 1" I was unable to thread the wire through the pedistal conduit without splicing the wire. What is the best thing to do? Can I get a new end or use a junction box? What have others done?

Not sure about the JRC but on our Raytheon we just used a terminal strip and wired color for color. Works fine.Dan Jonas (S/V Feije II)

I have a JRC unit and had to splice at the mast base. I spliced with a tremanal strip also and it works just fine.Craig Steinkraus" Wings " c-38 #280

Keep It Dry

If you can find a sealed box for your connector strip and seal the cables incoming and outgoing all the better.
