Radar wakes

When I use the wakes on our Raymarine C70 targets that are not moving appear with wakes as well as ones that are. Why? How can this be changed to make the feature more useful?

Relative motion

When I use the wakes on our Raymarine C70 targets that are not moving appear with wakes as well as ones that are. Why? How can this be changed to make the feature more useful?

Those wakes are caused by your motion, since they show relative motion. And you want them on the radar screen.
