Radar Mount

Just purchased a 37 foot Kirie Elite. Boat has an old Ratheon radar mounted on a swivel on the backstay. I am thinking about purchasing a new Radar/GPS combo unit and am wondering if maybe i might mount radar on the mast. Unit on there now never stays in the
center. Even at the dock the radome always swivels off to Port or Stbd. just a few degrees. Any ideas? Thanks........frank

is a gimballed unit?? if so, is spozed to move. my radar is on my mizzen and is happy there, i do not have a gimballed mount. you maybe able to use the gimballed mount on your mast--depends where you install it so it doesnt befoul the sails.
