Hey Cliff

Are you still thinking of changing? I thought this was all settled!!

H34 Racing

I did some club racing for five years and the boat is very competitive. It loved to go up wind and outpointed most other with more speed. The base PHRF handicap of 138 seemed correct and when I got beat it was by a slower vessel that had a "generous handicap".

In lite (ghosting conditions) we fully expect

to take 1st place over S-2's, T-10s etc. Lite to med air we are in the top 3 - 4. Heavy air, 20k T) we just have not found our combination. We race on Lake Michigan. Of course it would help if we had heavy air sails instead of a roller furling 135, & a rf 110 (my # 2 & 3 respectively). They came with the boat. Somebody sold the previous owner all that + a Rf 145 when he put on the harken RF gear. Admitted we race with a all purpose racing main & non RF 155 decksweeper. Plus other go fast gear. Don't try & point, you are not a sportboat. Out of 28 boats in the fleet in 04, we took 1st in section & first in fleet. Best of luck, go get em. If you are not the lead boat the scenery is all the same.
