In the West Marine Holiday Catalog, I noticed the Sail 2000 Yacht Racing Simulator. For $59.99, you can "test your match racing skills" while sitting at your computer. Anybody have any experience with this software? Will it really help my racing tactics? Or can I find better ways to spend my $59.99?Thanks to all of you for your input on this and for keeping this site so very informative.

Hi KarenHave had this program for about a year. When it was new I used it a lot as a game but I don't think it helped my sailing skills much. One problem is that the advanced electronic gauges in the simulator are so far removed from the basic instruments on my boat that it is hard to relate the two. I should try it again -- maybe I will like it better now -- just my 2 cents.Henry
