Here is a photo taken while I was racing Shamrock V out of Newport, R.I. In the background is Brenton Point State Park. Wind was from the South at 25 knots. Seas were about 6 feet. I was in my O'Day 35. We tacked several times and then Shamrock V realized she was in my dirty air to leeward and looking for a favorable shift she split to the left while I went to the right towards Pt. Judith and home. Since I was ahead when the racing ended I declared victory. The crew of Shamrock V will think twice before mixing it up with me again. What an awesome sight to basically have a tacking duel with a J-Boat. The scale of the picture is the yellow dot near the bow is a person. One of the most memorable sails of my life. Resolution is poor due to 1 Mp digital camera but zoom out it looks better only smaller. Enjoy Dave
