Just wanted to brag a little. We sailed in our first two races Sunday, after joining a great club. HISC adjusts each boats rating after every race to keep things even. The first race we finished third overall and third on corrected time. The second race we finished second overall and fist on corrected time. Wind was 10-15 with 2-3ft seas which our h240 handled amazingly well. Then to add to an exciting day on the water, we went to the after race party and met many very friendly people. A good time was had by all and we are anxiously awaiting the next race this weekend. Carl & Suzi h240 Relentless

That's Great News

It's good to hear about people really having fun with their boat and never mind tooting your horn either because we all like to hear a success story. The after-race gathering is probably more fun than the race itself while people hang around talking about what happened and waiting for the results to be compiled. Remember to thank the race committee as they usually put in a lot of time and effort to make it fun for everybody. Also, they'd probably appreciate it if someone picked up and brought back one of the racing buoys (after everybody has rounded!). Good show!

Congratulations!

Good for you! We have been racing our H26 with our club (CMCS) in Southwest Fl., for almost 2 years. We have yet to claim a prize, however we always have a good time. We usually have a raft-up or social event after the race -- it's a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Looking forward to the end of the Florida PM Thunderstorms. Keep racing and having fun! 240 prototype

I have always enjoyed sailing the 240 starting with the first 23.5 and then the prototype 240. When all factors are in your favor, you will find that you can compete with most boats without corrected time. The 240 is a fun boat to race in. Crazy Dave Condon

H240 Handicap?

Racing has become a great passion in my family. We have found that my wife has a greater competitive edge than I do. So I trim, pull sheets and man the whisker pole. Have taken a 2nd and a 3rd over the past 2 seasons -great fun. Does anyone know the handicap for the H240? There seems to be some confusion out here on the South Dakota Praire. Thanks, Charlie "GOOD MEDICINE"
