So sorry for your bad luck.
What you can do about it will largely depend upon what your contract with the yard says. There is very likely a waiver of responsibility that you had to sign just to keep your boat there. Some sort of indemnification clause, as well. It is unlikely they rented space to you without asking you to release them from liability in this type of situation, but read your contract. After all, they did let you stay without having to carry insurance, so maybe...

I too feel for your loss but those who have issues with racoons, squirrels and so forth, if you can stand the smell, I have trained to kee[ those critters out with moth balls and later pulling them out..

This doesn't look so bad, my old boat had a community of chipmunks get into it over last winter and they really made a mess, ate foam mattress, ate the headliner, crapped everywhere, walnut shells everywhere, in spots, there was over an inch of crap... it was a horror show, my first thought was to junk it but alas my stubborn cheapskate-ness kicked in and made me spend a day and a half cleaning it & fixing it to get it ready to sell. I had a full face mask respirator to use to avoid any poop born illnesses and used a big box fan to push fresh air into the cabin. I used a shovel and a shop vac to empty it, then with bleach pressure washed everything inside and out. I was able to replace the aft berth mattress with a cheap blow up camping one. I was able to take some of the headliner from the aft berth and use it to patch in where they made big holes in the main salon ceiling. I'm so glad I decided to clean it because when I finished it looked like it never happened. Like someone else said, maybe your sails can be patched?

Perhaps I was reading too much "between the lines" in these posts, but the original critter break-in could have happened when a human burglar broke open the hatch when he ransacked the interior looking for anything to steal and fence. Of course he left it (at least partly) open when he exited in a hurry.
And the critters took advantage.

Total Loss My Rear End,

You made it sound like they chewed holes in your hull too. Get out the scrub brush and a bucket with vinegar and start disinfecting that boat. Replace the soft stuff and the wires. Take the sails to a sail loft and see what can be repaired or needs to be replaced.

Yes, you may get some money out of your insurance company but this is NOT a total loss.

one fall, a pair of squirrels got in to our house, (which is in a wilderness-type area) , thru a wire chimney cap that had deteriorated. they partied in the kitchen, knocked over assorted canisters on the counter to get the oatmeal, and chewed various lampshades, towels, and kleenex boxes. (one electrocuted him/herself chewing on a lampcord wire, one died trying to drink the toilet bowl.) so at least we could ID who the criminals were.) our homeowner insurance had a clause that denied coverage for 'rodent damage..' needless to say our week end shopping list included 'Natures Miracle for squirrel pee spots on the carpet , bleach to spray the kitchen, new lamp cords, new kleenex. ...o, the numerous joys of homeowner insurance claims and home ownership. (at least this raccoon thread reminds me to seal up the cover to the anchor well on the boat with 'duck tape.' ).)

A slightly parallel universe with a planet of Racoon-people had bad jump across the space/time continuum and ended up in that boat. Could happen.

Ah yes , a new plot idea from a Futurama episode!
(remember the one where they travel to the "edge" of the universe and look across at another slightly different one, with them.... looking back... ! )

At lease they pooped in the head (or around it)!

If you can put it on a trailer, your local dump will take it for 150 bucks a ton. They will probably also have a large object handling fee, which may add another 100 bucks. See my other thread to find out how I know this.
If the OP is keen on recovering every last dollar they should be able to get a few hundred for the lead in the keel
