Quick Question - What is this, a cupholder?

Mounted in rear of cokpit, thought it was a hangar for throw lifesaver, but someone said it was a cupholder mount. Would like to use it, cup holders are always handy. Don't want to take it off and leave / fill holes.

What have you seen? Is there a brand of cupholder I could buy to utilize this mount? Thanks.

I had an old Autohelm 4000 auto-pilot that mounted on a mount like that in the cockpit. I moved the pilot head inside when not in use.
I am not sure if anything else can use this type of mount.

Tac Tic wireless instruments had “holders” that were mounted in the cockpit and the display heads could be stowed in the cockpit when not in use…

My Autohelm 3000 has that same mount for the pilot head.
