I wonder if soemone can tell me, off the top of their head: 1. Length of mooring cleats at stern quarters on C36 Mk. 1; 2. Jib lead track dimension; 3. Toe rail track dimension; 4. Mainsheet traveller "top" track dimension? Thanks! I'm not on the boat, and want to order a couple of things. jv

There is no C36 Mark I, just the C36 and the C36 Mark II. My 1993 has 8" mooring cleats, 1 1/4" jib track on both, and the main traveler is Garhauer so you might be able to find out at their web site.

Thanks, but maybe not the right vintage

Mick, FIrst, thanks eyr much for you response, I appreicate you taking the time to write something. I don't think your boat is representative of the vintage I need. Mine is a 1984, and although a couple of bits of rigging are Garhauer, not all of it is. And it certainly doesn't look like anything they sell now. I found your comment on Mk. I amusing. That's like saying 'there is no first wife, only wife, and second wife." Of course it wasn't originally designated as such, but it is commonly referred to, quite logicaly, as a Mk. I. Note this from the Catalina 36 International Association: "The Catalina 36 has been around since 1983, producing the original Catalina 36 (we now call it the Mk I), and about a decade later redesigned as the Mk II." A search on the site for "Mk. I" will yield many such references.

Your Genoa Tracks (both inner and outer) are 1.25"

and your traveler isn't made anymore (it was Nicro-Fico). Yur best bet for repairing / upgrading your traveler is to contact Garhauer and talk to them. They will have an upgrade kit for that important bit of hardware. Steve Alchemist C-320 p.s. I know about the the genoa tracks because I sold a pair of 1.25" genoa cars to a friend who has an '87 C-36.
