You all convinced me on the SeaEra (pressurized) so I purchased the conversion kit and much of the related extras needed for installation. I was planning on taping off the water supply in the head. This will require me to convert from the present 1/2" water hose to the required 3/4" for the SeaEra. I note that the requirement for water flow is 3 gpm and I wonder if I will have the required flow if I increase the hose size? Sorry I don't know the type of pump used on my boat. I'll look at it next time I am at the harbor.

Look At The Pump Specs

Don't make a move until you check the pump. There should be a stick-on sheet on the domestic water pump that rates the GPM (gallons per minute) that it has been rated for.

As long as you have at least a 2.8 GPM pump

you'll be ok. It wouldn't be smaller than that unless a PO had to replace it and was too cheap to buy the right size pump for a boat that size. Fwiw, I had to replace the water pump on my own boat...the 2.8 gal Shurflo actually produced MORE water pressure than the older 3.0 I replaced.
